Garth
Garth is the founding member of Immaculata, and the primary songwriter. His musical background is based in baroque and renaissance classical woodwind, although other influential factors have contributed to his varying tastes. His years with the classical ensemble "Flauto Dolce" gave him a taste for performing, and they won several awards throughout Victoria, before he began dabbling with early electronic methods.

His mother exposed him to a variety of interesting cultural art forms as a child, such as morris dancing and the related folk music, renaissance dancing, visual art and ballet. His elder sisters brought to this mix modern rock and pop. Undoubtedly the classical training he received gave him an appreciation for melody and harmony, while the influences of his teenage years added an interest in modern techniques and approaches.

Combined with this is his fascination with historic fashion and design, a keen interest in drawing and art, some dabbling in theatre, and a love of nature and history.
